What is Open Source Software?

Open source software (OSS) is software where the source code is made available to the public as public domain or an open copyright license. This permits users to use change, and improve the software, and to redistribute it in modified or unmodified form – free of charge! It is very often developed in a public, collaborative manner where developers contribute to its features.
We use the latest open source software for our clients’ sites. This allows clients to reap the rewards of the programming skills and hours from the thousands of contributors. The open source software we use has many of the latest features that can be easily added in the form of modules. Using established OS will save you money. Some of the open source software we recommend include Drupal, WordPress, Magento and PhpList.
