RECAP Jul 11, 2023 – Reach New Audiences Through Podcast Guesting

This meeting focused on how to be a grand guest and had podcast category breakout rooms to help matchup up guests and hosts. GC member Joe Matz shared with us strategies on being a grand guest.

Takeaways:

• Provide value to your hosts audience
• Have some story snippets ready (soundbites)
• Don’t share everything. Follow the basic rule of advertising, “leave them wanting more.”
• Know the audience and ask the host what they would like you to focus on.
• Have a CTA ready to share.
• Listen to other people’s podcast about the subject I am interested in. Try different platforms.
• The only thing better than podcasting is… PodGuesting!!
